Maybe I got one that was defective - it was the last one so I moved on to the Magefesa Star 10 qt instead. The strauss leaked steam something awful, never could get the lid seated appropriately for good seal. Gave up and sent it back.

excellent product great looking and it is professional grade very good to use for a big party or restaurant use it is very well built,i just love it.
