5Beautiful cookware

I own a number of All Clad pieces, and was planning to buy this size saucepan from All Clad, but in reading reviews of tri-clad cookware, I came across Cuisinox Elite reviews that seemed interesting. I decided to buy this pot and see how it stacked up. I must say I was pleasantly surprised. It appears to have the quality of All Clad at a significantly lower price. It is well finished, the lid has a nice fit, and the pot is substantial. I just finished my first sauce in it, and I am even more impressed. It has great heat distribution, meaning that I was able to prepare a very thick, creamy sauce with no sticking to sides or bottom. I strongly prefer stainless to non-stick, for a number of reasons, and this is quality stainless. I believe it is equal to All Clad in overall finish and cooking qualities--and for a lot less money. I love my All Clad, but I am planning to buy my next piece of cookware from Cuisinox.

5My favorite pot now
By Teri
I was looking for a clean healthy pan to replace all my tephlon and wanted something made in the us, the main brand that kept coming up USA made had many reviews that the handle was uncomfortable so I settled on this brand being made in Canada and I am very happy and will finish buying the rest of the sizes, I wouldnt mind a thicker handle but it's not uncomfortable at all, love the lid, and the measurements on the Inside.

3pot handle design and quality issue, otherwise could be a good one
By C. V.
I bought it Oct, 2013 just used this pan for 4 times in the past month, and I noticed a long obvious scratch line (I used stainless steel spatula one time on this and immediately noticed scratch. I shouldn't use a stainless steel spatula stirred fried on this pan at all, so just share with you), and about 5 tiny size pores appearing like skin pores at the inner bottom pan. The pores are densely together located not at the center of the inner bottom pan; they are 1 cm from the circular wall of pan on the inner bottom. I do not know if that is the problem about which country makes it, because this one is made in...I use different brands of stainless steel products made from different countries (since now made in USA is quite hard to find now) as long as they work and are within reasonable price. We have Cuisinart steamer pot (11 years old now) and Farberware 3 or 4 qt pot (3-4 years old) made in Korea and they never have issues of speckles peeled off like Cuisinart 6 qt sauce pot that I just bought in Oct, 2013; of course, I immediately refunded that one. I also got a Tramonita 6qt pot late Oct, 2013 made in Brazil and I haven't seen any pores or speckles so far. Now, I am not not sure if the pores in the inner bottom of this Cuisinox Elite can cause health hazard by leaking metals during cooking. I might need to refund it too. If I don't have pores on this product after using (when unpacked the brand new pan, no pores at all), I might give this product a 4 star.As for product itself, I would say the long handle design should give users a strong hold because the saute pan itself is quite big and heavy.
